Job Summary
The FusionAuth Support team is highly regarded as responsive, knowledgeable, and a trusted resource for helping our customers solve complex implementation issues quickly — and we're growing to meet that demand.
We're looking for a Technical Support Engineer who is passionate about Support and about providing exceptional customer care to join our team. From level 1 issues (“is this thing on?”) to level 3 (“my code isn’t working”), you'll be the primary contact for customer issues, escalations, and implementation best practices. Our users range from technology executives to developers, and their questions reflect that. We’re here to help.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers integrating FusionAuth by troubleshooting authentication, authorization, and identity workflows
- Guide customers through complex CIAM configurations, including SSO setup, MFA implementation, and custom token handling
- Triage, reproduce, and document customer-reported issues; create detailed documentation for engineering handoff as needed
- Conduct root cause analysis on integration failures by reviewing customer code, logs, and API traces
- Participate in customer kickoff and optimization sessions to proactively set customers up for success
- Share on-call rotation responsibilities to handle production incidents and communicate resolutions
Qualifications
- 4+ years in technical support, with customer-facing software engineering experience considered
- Experience working directly with developers as your primary customers
- Able to execute and troubleshoot RESTful API calls
- Comfortable reviewing and interpreting code to diagnose issues
- Strong communicator — you can explain complex technical topics clearly and concisely
- Able to manage multiple customer conversations and priorities concurrently
- Java experience is a plus
- IAM or CIAM experience is a strong plus

Candidate FAQs
- Support team work hours: 9am - 5pm MT
- On-call rotation - 1 week every 8-10 weeks – coverage is for Severity 1 issues and Enterprise customers. Notification managed through alert management system.
Compensation
- $80k-$100k expected base salary range*
